The ride in the Moon Rover with Luke, a moon kid, and meeting Abba, Zabba, Radar, Marz, and Astro, more of the Moon Kids was my favorite part of this book! Book 5 skillfully introduces the concept of accepting others as they are, regardless of how different they may appear. Emily and Kooper’s warm and open-hearted nature will instantly win children’s hearts as they willingly share food and toys with the alien Moon Kids. I loved how the story gently teaches kids about the beauty of diversity and the strength of embracing everyone. If your child loves mazes, they will enjoy the one at the end of this book!

I love that no matter what happens in Book 4, with Emily and Kooper’s Fairy Dust magic, anything is possible! Wonderful illustrations of the enchanted forest, falling rain, big green trees, and cute woodland friends. Going on a mission with Emily and Kooper will keep your child’s interest because they will want to see how the story unfolds. I enjoyed seeing the map that Emily and Kooper followed. It is exciting to see each mystical location that Emily and Kooper might find, plus learning how to read a map is an excellent skill for children to practice! The kids loved it!

Book 4, “Emily and Kooper Go To The Enchanted Forest,” teaches kids how to discern who they can trust and to stay on their path. The mischievous talking trees share with readers an essential life lesson. I like that there is one crucial mission per day and anything else that Emily and Kooper discover, they set for another day and another book! This book will teach children what the true magic of life is and how they can experience the magic too. Well written and a perfect nighttime read.

Book 3, “Emily and Kooper Go Under the Sea,” introduces to kids the idea of time management, new words, and morning gratitude, as seen at the beginning of the book when Kooper the Magic Monkey starts the morning with a positive affirmation, saying, “What a glorious day.”
Your child will learn about responsibility by seeing Otis the Octopus set timers to arrive at places on time. All the adorable sea friends of Emily and Kooper meet and greet each other with politeness and manners, always including each other and being thoughtful. The activities at the end are great for helping your child remember the characters’ names and discuss the book after reading.
